Tim Morgan, Economic Development Manager
Morgan’s role will be to lead and coordinate economic development activities such as business recruitment, business retention and expansion, policy recommendations and implementation, business-related infrastructure, marketing, serve existing businesses, as well as negotiate with businesses and real estate developers to achieve the goals and objectives set forth by the City Council. In addition, his efforts will ensure the economic health, vitality, and sustainability for Maple Valley going into the future. With Morgan’s extensive sports and tourism development background, these niche segments of economic development will also be pursued.
Morgan earned a Master’s degree in Sports Administration & Facility Management from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Morgan has also taken education courses through the International Economic Development Council towards CEcD Certification.
