City of Maple Valley adopts 2019-2020 Biennial Budget
Maple Valley, Wash. – December 17, 2018 - The City of Maple Valley City Council voted Nov. 26 to adopt a $53,633,940 biennial budget for the years 2019 through 2020. The budget was approved with a 7 – 0 vote following a Public Hearing and detailed discussion.
According to Finance Director, Sandy Garrett, the City expects operating revenues to be $48,363,494 over the two-year period. The anticipated operating expenditures for 2019 through 2020 are $35,803,980, which is a $5,078,488 or 17% increase from the 2017-2018 biennial budget.
The adopted budget includes capital project spending of $15,470,470 during the two-year period including: Transportation Program, $12,346,200; Surface Water Management Program, $800,000; Parks & Recreation Program, $1,380,000; and Community Facilities Program, $944,270.
