Requesting an Inspection
Click Here here to schedule an inspection using our eTRAKIT online permitting system. If you do not have internet access, you may still schedule an inspection by calling our 24-hour inspection request line at (425) 413-5077 before 4:00 PM the day before you need the inspection. Inspection requests called in after 4:00 PM will be put on the list for the second business day. (For example, calls made after 4:00 PM on Tuesday will result in an inspection on Thursday.) Please have your permit number available for reference when you call in your inspection request. You may request a morning or afternoon appointment, and our Inspectors will try to accommodate your schedule. You will not receive a telephone call confirming your inspection request.
NOTE: We strongly discourage the use of cell phones for calling in inspection requests, as connection problems frequently occur and many calls drop out of our system before the request in completed.
Contacting your Inspector
If you have issues to discuss prior to your inspection, our Inspectors are available by calling (425) 413-8800 between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM Monday through Friday.
For electrical inspections, contact the Department of L&I State of Washington inspector at (206) 835-1000.
Turnaround Time for Inspections
Our service goal is next-day inspections. However, on rare occasions, this is not possible. Also, as efficient routing of inspections is required in order to meet our service goal, it is not possible for inspectors to give customers specific times for inspections. If you have an unusual scheduling issue or other concern, be sure to contact your inspector the morning of your inspection as they may be able to give you a time-window or make other arrangements that are mutually satisfactory. For further inspection-related information, call (425) 413-8800.
Checking the Status of Your Inspection
Inspection results are posted to permits/projects the next day. You may check the status of the inspection results online through eTrakit.
