The City of Maple Valley is now accepting applications for grant funding and/or in-kind support for community service organizations, event sponsorship, and cultural or other types of programs and events for the 2020 calendar year. The new application and accompanying forms are linked below. Applications and forms may also be picked up at City Hall, 22017 SE Wax Road, Suite 200, Maple Valley.
Applications must be submitted by noon on Monday, September 23, 2019. Applications received after the due date will not be considered for funding for 2020. Please submit only the application, a summary income statement, a summary balance sheet, and, if applicable, the signed Attestation Form for Religious Organizations and/or a copy of your 501c3 Determination Letter. When completing the application, please include all funding and/or in-kind support you are requesting from the City. All requests must be made through the application process. One application per organization will be accepted per year. If people wish to request funding for more than one category, (i.e. community service, sponsored event, etc.) in the same year, the requests must be combined in one application.
A public hearing is scheduled on Monday, October 14, 2019 so that applicants requesting funds from the City for 2020 may have an opportunity to speak to the City Council regarding their request. Each applicant/organization will be provided 5 minutes to address Council.
