Welcome to Maple Valley Parks & Recreation.  We invite you to follow the links to the left to navigate through or facilities, programs, and events.

Maple Valley is home to over 300 acres of park space and over 10 miles of trails.  Lake Wilderness Park is the crown jewel of Maple Valley.  The beautiful, historic Lake Wilderness Lodge is host to a number of special occasions throughout the year, and the Lake Wilderness Golf Course is a challenging 18-hole course that is fun for all ages.

The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life and build community by providing safe, welcoming parks and recreation opportunities for people to gather and engage in activities that promote health, well-being and community.  The Department shall be good stewards of the environment and resources entrusted to our care, endeavor to foster creative partnerships and be responsive to the evolving needs of our community.

Maple Valley was honored with a Playful City USA designation in 2016. This national program honors cities across the country for taking bold steps that make it easy for all kids to get the balanced and active play they need to thrive.  Playful City USA communities are driving a deeper understanding of the importance of play and engaging their citizens to re-imagine cities with kids in mind. The City of Maple Valley encourages all citizens to join in the "Playful" movement by engaging in outdoor play.
