The City of Maple Valley is proud to bring GreenStage to Maple Valley again in the summer months. They are Seattle’s longest-running Shakespeare Company and is committed to presenting top-quality productions of classical theater in a public park setting. We will host two free live plays to be held in Lake Wilderness Park in  the Natural Amphitheatre. Concessions snacks and beverages will be available for purchase during the plays.

Sunday, July 29 at 5:00 pm  -     Henry IV

Henry IV

Directed by Amelia Meckler Bowers

Written by William Shakespeare, Henry IV is a story of power, honor and rebellion.  After the death of King Richard, Henry Bolingbroke is crowned King Henry IV.  The king is not enjoying his reign and feels guilty about the removal of Richard.  He is conflicted in his conscience in whether to go to the Holy Land on crusade to pay penance or to remain at home and manage the troubles that demand his attention.







Sunday, August 12 at 5:00 pm - The Three Musketeers

Directed by Erin Day


An historical novel written in 1844 by French author Alexandre Dumas, the play is set in 1625-1628 and recounts the adventures of a young man named D’Artagnan.  D’Artagnan travels to Paris seeking to join the king’s musketeers.  He goes to see their captain and in his haste he offends three of the best musketeers-Porthos, Athos, and Aramis, which leads them to scheduling a dual that afternoon.
