State Route 169 Safety Open House - WSDOT Summary

On June 5, 2019 the Washington State Department of Transportation and the City of Maple Valley hosted an open house to discuss and solicit input about safety and corridor performance concerns on State Route 169 within the Maple Valley City limits. This section of SR 169 is experiencing a particularly high rate of growth. The corridor also presents a complex highway environment because of its use as a commuter and freight route, its proximity to the Cedar River Trail, and its many neighborhood street accesses and businesses.  WSDOT has drafted a summary of the comments collected from the attendees of that meeting to help understand key elements (see link below).
